My Favorite Dog was conceived from the simple idea that man’s best friend deserves man’s best food. Our founder Genika learned firsthand from raising Rush, her Siberian Husky, that not all pet food is made alike. When Rush started experiencing digestive issues consuming mass-produced kibbles with artificial ingredients, she knew it was time for a change. Genika extensively researched the correct nutritive values for dogs and began cooking home cooked meals with natural ingredients such as chicken, rice, and vegetables.
She noticed a dramatic improvement in both Rush’s health and enthusiasm during mealtimes; it wasn’t long before family members and friends with dogs tested her recipes to the same success. Fast forward to today where the same tireless dedication to using only the best, preservative-free, earth-sourced ingredients results in a quality meal fit for dog and human alike. Genika’s not-so-secret recipe is simply using wholesome and quality human-grade ingredients to replace conventional bagged foods dense with fillers. Our honest approach to cooking food free of artificial preservatives but chockful of necessary vitamins naturally found in our ingredients is what keeps our furry friends coming back for seconds everytime.
